Our History
Frisco’s Carhop Diner has been the dream of Takis Stathoulis, a Greek immigrant, vocalist, and general contractor, and his wife Joanne Frisco Stathoulis, a creative artistic restaurateur.
In 1981, they opened the first of their seven restaurants, creating a 1950s-style diner and restoring the good old days of family dining. Through years of hard work and dedication, Frisco’s and the Carhops became a beloved family business known for its unique atmosphere and creative ideas.
A family tradition
Every Frisco’s has its own unique flavor and ambiance. Today, the Lakewood and Whittier locations continue the tradition with classic burgers, shakes, carhop service, and drive-thru convenience.
